As you all are aware of the delayed in the SSC Exam 2018 dates. Now, the SSC exams will conduct in the year 2019.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts various exams like the SSC CGL, SSC CPO, SSC Stenographer, SSC MTS, SSC Junior Engineer, SSC GD Constable & a lot more! These are the most sought-after exams in the country.
It has been a long while since the SSC has not conducted any exams for any of the above recruitment drives. Even though lot of applicants are waiting for the exams, SSC has not released a fresh notice on the upcoming exam dates. Know why is so much speculation around the SSC exams, why is there a Delay in SSC Exams & when can we expect the SSC Exams to be conducted?
There are some major reasons for delay in the SSC exams and the exam re-schedule to the year 2019:
- SSC Scam and Protest:
- On 21st February 2018, SSC released a statement/apology on their Official Website stating a Technical Failure in one the exams, due to which the exam was cancelled.
- In no time, a lot of videos & messages alleging a foul play in the exam was circulated & students created an outrage.
- Similar such incidents have occured from year 2013.
- Protesters & students demanded a CBI enquiry over this matter. Their other major demand was to get the exam conducting Software Vendor audited & replaced.
- Supreme Court interference
- CBI also involved in the matter after the SSC Scam Protest took place. The Supreme Court had to intervene & investigate this issue.
- In a recent verdict, the Supreme Court of India called the Staff Selection Commission’s exam conducting process “Tainted”.
- The bench also said, “custodian of the exam paper is himself leaking the paper”.
- The Supreme Court hence refrained SSC from declaring any results until the process is made transparent & is streamlined.
- The Central Government removed the previous software vendor, Sify in the matter of the leakage issue.
- Non-Finalization of Vendor:
- SSC did not finalize the Vendor to conduct the SSC Exams.
- SSC has postponed the selection of Vendor which cause delay in the SSC examination.
- Even if the Vendor Selection process will over, it will take time to set up the process for examination. It will take around two month to vendor to set up the examination process.
